COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY

This website is owned and operated by Authentic Leadership, Inc (“ALI”). We value your privacy, and we want to make your experience online satisfying and safe. In particular, the Policy sets forth our information gathering and dissemination practices with respect to this web site (“the Site”). The Policy applies only to data collected online.

Information you provide

This Site collects personal information such as name, company, address, phone numbers, fax numbers, and e-mail addresses ("Personally Identifiable Information") from visitors who voluntarily submit a feedback/inquiry form, send electronic mail to ALI, register for events, subscribe to newsletters, submit resumes through the Site, or otherwise voluntarily submit such information to ALI through or because of the Site. Personally Identifiable Information collected through this Site is saved in ALI's contact database where it may be combined with pre-existing contact information in the database.

Authentic Leadership, Inc. does not collect Personally Identifiable Information about visitors except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals.

Email

We may communicate with you by email using the email address that you provide to us regarding ALI’s programs, products, and services. Personally Identifiable Information may also be used by ALI to send you surveys regarding current services or potential new services that may be offered, as well as to send you newsletters, event notices and announcements, and promotional materials regarding ALI's programs, products, and services. If you no longer wish to receive such messages from ALI, please send an email to unsubscribe@authleadership.com or send a letter to Customer Service, Authentic Leadership, Inc., 4 Quarry Lane, Harvard, MA 01451.  Along these lines, please note that ALI complies with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Usage tracking

We track website usage data to improve our services, and we regularly analyze traffic patterns throughout our websites. This information is collected to help improve website flow and usability.   

 

Cookies

ALI obtains second-level domain information and, in some instances, IP addresses, regarding visitors to the Site ("Non-Personally Identifiable Information"), but does not collect or maintain Personally Identifiable Information concerning such visitors unless they also specifically and knowingly provide such information. See paragraph 1 above. The Site uses cookies to track Site traffic only. Cookies do not track Personally Identifiable Information.

Children

Our website and services are not directed toward children. So we do not, nor will we, knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requiring parental consent. Any person who provides his/her personal information to ALI through our websites represents that he/she is 18 years of age or older.

Authentic Leadership, Inc. INFORMATION-SHARING PRACTICES

We do not share personal information collected on this website with third parties for their direct-marketing purposes. If in the future we decide to do so, we will provide you with notice and an opportunity to opt out of such sharing. We may occasionally share aggregate information with third parties. Aggregate information does not personally identify you or otherwise allow anyone to identify you individually.

Vendors and service providers

ALI occasionally enlists vendors to provide services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, processing transactions, or performing statistical analysis of our services. We will only provide those vendors with the Personally Identifiable Information that they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.    

Carrying out your requests and protecting our rights or the rights of others

ALI may access and/or disclose your Personally Identifiable Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on ALI or the Site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of ALI, including this Site; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of ALI services or members of the public.

Except as noted above, ALI will not otherwise disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to third parties without your permission. 

Merger, bankruptcy, or sale of Authentic Leadership, Inc.

If ALI should ever file for bankruptcy or have some or all its assets sold to or merged with another entity, information we have received from you via these websites will be treated as an ALI asset and may be transferred.  In that instance, you will be notified via a notice on our Site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of such Personally Identifiable Information, with such notice also indicating whether your Personally Identifiable Information will be used in manner different from that stated at the time of collection. After receipt of such notice, you may (as you can at any time) remove such Personally Identifiable Information pursuant to paragraph 3 above.

Affiliated websites, other websites, and advertisements

This Privacy Policy applies to websites and services that are owned and operated by ALI. We do not exercise control over the websites of third parties that you may link to or view as part of a frame on a page on our websites. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of such third parties. You should check the applicable privacy policies of those third parties when providing information on a feature or page operated by a third party.

INTERNATIONAL VISITORS AND CUSTOMERS

This website is hosted in the United States. If you are visiting from the European Union or other region with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the U.S., which does not have the same data protection laws as the EU, and that by providing your personal data, you consent to:

  • The use of your personal data for the uses identified above in accordance with this Privacy Policy
  • The transfer of your personal data to the U.S. as indicated above

SECURITY

ALI takes commercially appropriate measures to safeguard the Personally Identifiable Information that you share with us. As such, we use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personally Identifiable Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. ALI is hosted on a dedicated server with daily offsite backup, RAID, security provisions, and 24/7 server support. The server is secure and has had 99% uptime over the past year. 

CHANGES AND UPDATES

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will also revise the “effective date” on the Privacy Policy. For changes to this Privacy Policy that may be materially less restrictive on our use or disclosure of personal information you have provided to us, we will attempt to obtain your consent before implementing the change. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting the personal information we collect. Your continued use of this website constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy and any updates.
