Steffen Landauer, Senior Consultant

Steffen Landauer is a Senior Consultant for the Authentic Leadership Institute, a leadership consulting firm committed to creating leaders and organizations with a deeper purpose and the courage to transform their business impact.

Client work with the Institute has included both the food and beverage and consumer packaged goods industries.

Steffen has built and led globally-recognized learning and leadership development functions at Goldman Sachs, Hewlett Packard, and Citigroup.  He recently was Chief Learning Officer at Citigroup, with global responsibility for learning across the Citi organization.  Citi was recognized in 2013 by the annual Hay Group/Business Week Survey as one of the 20 best companies for leaders, the first financial services firm since the 2008 economic crisis to gain such recognition.  Currently, through his consulting firm Landauer Partners, he works with clients to build programs and systems to accelerate leader development and business success.

At HP, he directed the Executive and Leadership Development Group, with a global mandate for design and delivery for all HP executives and managers.  Due to the development of flagship programs in high potential talent development, CEO-sponsored leadership initiatives, and a state-of-the art learning portal, HP earned recognition as one of the 20 best companies for leaders in 2007, 2008, and 2009.  Steffen has also served as Managing Director of the Pine Street Leadership Development Initiative at Goldman Sachs, which was widely recognized—including as subject of two Harvard Business School Cases—for its innovative work with Goldman Sachs Partners, Managing Directors, and external clients.

Steffen holds a B.A. degree from Columbia University.

He lives in New York with his wife Helga, a poet and filmmaker, and his children Niko, Anton, Sasha, and Sofia.
