Michelle Brailsford is a Senior Consultant for the Authentic Leadership Institute, a leadership consulting firm committed to creating leaders and organizations with a deeper purpose and the courage to transform their business impact.

Client work with the Institute has included Thermo Fisher, with additional work in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Michelle is an executive coach, facilitator & a change management consultant with 25+ years of international experience.  For 10 years she has worked as a partner for Jupiter Consulting Group, a consultancy dedicated to “Adding Life Back into Work”. She has worked with clients such as the BBC Worldwide, MCI Telecommunications and Texas Instruments on change, culture shifts and leadership capability building.  Michelle’s strengths include being an energizing and engaging facilitator, co-creating pragmatic solutions for her clients and using her knowledge of positive psychology, strengths & undiscovered strengths, and how the brain works in order to help individuals, teams and leaders – and their organisations – drive performance and happiness at work.

Michelle established her organisational development consultancy in 2004, after having worked in the telecommunications industry in the USA for 10+ years.  During those years, she was a Human Resource Business Partner, Training Manager and ran the Change practice for MCI Telecommunication’s internal OD function.  She moved to Europe in 2000 and has worked inside organisations including UPC (United Pan-European Communications) and the BBC Worldwide.  And provided coaching, training & organisational consulting services to small, medium and large, blue-chip multinationals. 

Michelle is on the Board of Directors of the European Professional Women’s Network, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the progress of professional women and changing corporate cultures to embrace gender balanced leadership.   As part of her pro-bono work, Michelle consults with large organisations about building a leadership pipeline full of qualified, female talent.

Michelle is a successful and empowering key note speaker; her topics include the importance of reducing unconscious bias in organisations, fostering organisational cultures that make it possible for both men & women to leverage their strengths at work and how female leaders can excel at high integrity office politics.

Michelle has a Master in Organisational Behavior from Johns Hopkins University and a Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland. 

Michelle was raised in the US but has lived in worked in Europe for the past 16 years. She lives in Dorset, England (birthplace of Thomas Hardy) with her partner, Guy and their dog, Holly.  They also own a house on the east coast of Italy and enjoy travelling (via camper van) to Italy to enjoy the Mediterranean sun, food and most importantly….the Italian wine!
