Didier Dallemagne, Senior Consultant - Belgium

Didier Dallemagne is a Senior Consultant for the Authentic Leadership Institute, a leadership consulting firm committed to creating leaders and organizations with a deeper purpose and the courage to transform their business impact.

Didier Dallemagne is an Executive Coach who provides coaching support to senior executives in international organisations (for profit or not for profit), especially when they face tough decisions and challenges. His coaching is informed by a rich business and leadership experience and a rigorous education in executive coaching. Didier retired from Unilever in 2013 after 35 years of experience gained in successfully leading large and complex organisations at international levels, including more than 10 years at global level.

In the last 15 years, he has been leading the Unilever operations in his country, then successively 2 global categories (Beverages followed by Spreads). In these positions, he led his teams through a large variety of challenges like acquisitions, disposals, creation of new business models and channels, turnarounds, media and operational crises, and creation of new product categories. He also sat on the Board of joint ventures, chaired European and Global Trade Associations, and collaborated with leading NGOs to drive industry-changing initiatives in Sustainability. Didier has lived in 5 countries, and led teams based in 20 different countries on all continents, which makes him well aware of the challenges of cross-cultural leadership.

The Institute's programme was critical in Didier’s finding his True North for his second career in executive coaching. He also deeply believes in Authentic Leadership, and his coaching helps his clients get the best of their natural style.

Didier is a Trustee of the Fairtrade Foundation (UK), which gives him the chance to continue to contribute to sustainable development, an area for which he developed a passion during his career with Unilever.

Didier holds a MSc in Business Engineering of the Université Libre de Bruxelles – Solvay Brussels School (Brussels, Belgium), and follows a MSc Executive Coaching - Ashridge (UK).

He is a Belgian citizen and lives in Brussels with his wife Catherine; they have 2 adult children. Didier loves exploring cities with his wife, reading novels, and practicing sports like cycling, tennis and skiing.
