Luke Wardle, Senior Consultant - China

Luke Wardle is a Senior Consultant for the Authentic Leadership Institute, a leadership consulting firm committed to creating leaders and organizations with a deeper purpose and the courage to transform their business impact.

Client work with the Institute has included both the consumer packaged goods and banking industries.

Luke has extensive experience in talent and organizational development consulting for multi-national organizations operating in China.  He specializes in organization and leadership development, particularly identifying (strategic planning), assessing (organization and individual assessment tools) and developing (coaching, action learning & workshops/training) leaders within Fortune 500 organizations.  He has facilitated organization development with simultaneous leadership team development programs throughout Asia where the objective is to reorient behaviors to improve performance of not only the individuals but the team as well.  He has also been a part of design and implementation teams facilitating cultural change.  Luke believes that partnering with the client organization is vital to the success of any initiative. 

Luke works to develop organizations and the talent within those organizations simultaneously.  His philosophy is to create organizations that can succeed at attaining strategic goals at the same time developing the people in those organizations to have the capabilities required to lead the organization.  One without the other is flawed and will digress to original.  He achieves this using a systematic approach and by including the client in the solution formulation and creating execution teams lead by the client to achieve both business results and people development.

In the area of coaching, Luke primarily works with executives one-on-one, but also coaches groups and/or teams.  The coaching model he adheres to enables people to make breakthroughs to achieve the goals that are most important to them and the organization they work in.  Using a well laid out plan, he is able to help leaders identify their areas for improvement and create plans for change.  Luke also has practical experience in leading and managing business.  Since 1995, he has helped several small to medium sized companies grow from the inception stage to well established organizations.  He has held several positions in those organizations ranging from area general manager, to global development manager, to founder of his own organization – most of this experience was in the fast paced growth of the China market.  Luke is able to conduct business in English (native) or Mandarin Chinese.

Luke holds an MA from Old Dominion University (Norfolk VA) in Economics & International Relations and a BA in Political Science from the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT).
