Brian Truman is a Senior Consultant for the Authentic Leadership Institute, a leadership consulting firm committed to creating leaders and organizations with a deeper purpose and the courage to transform their business impact.

Client work with the Institute has included the consumer packaged goods industry.

Brian is a dynamic and highly capable practitioner, with over twenty five years experience across adult learning, organisation development and generalist human resource roles. He has worked within organisations at both operational and senior strategic levels, including: managing learning and development, organisation development and human resource functions.

Throughout his career Brian has worked extensively within and across the following industries: Banking and Finance, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Professional Services and Health Care. Additionally he has worked closely with the following organisational functions: Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Finance, IT, Legal, Medical Affairs & Scientific Research.  As a result of this experience, Brian has developed into an accomplished program designer, facilitator and coach working with all levels of leadership (including senior executives, business leaders, people managers) and a broad range of specialist professionals.  He has dedicated his corporate life to maximizing organizational capability and performance through innovative people initiatives.

In 2005, Brian established Zenith Potential Pty Ltd, an organisation devoted to partnering with organisations and their people, to develop and implement customised learning and coaching initiatives that enable them to achieve their maximum potential with regards to capability, performance, results and satisfaction. He is passionate about building relationships with clients that establish an ongoing partnership, enabling the development and implementation of sustainable, long-term initiatives.

When asked what he enjoys most about his working life, he is quick to respond with: “Working with others to explore who they are and who they can be excites and inspires me! Being able to help people to establish what it means to be their best self and to create their best life, to unleash their full potential and create a space where they can flourish, provides me with rich purpose and meaning, driving everything I do!”

Brian’s key areas of interest and expertise include: applying positive psychology principles and practices in the workplace; leadership development and coaching; enhancing team functioning and performance; facilitating culture transformation; developing emotional intelligence and intra/interpersonal capabilities.  He has extensive experience and capability coaching both individuals and teams within an organizational context and currently sits on the Executive Coaching Panel of a number of large Corporates.

Brian has qualifications in Psychology, Social Research & Human Resources, with additional accreditations in: VIA Character Strengths; GENOS Emotional Intelligence 360 feedback facilitation and coaching; Results Coaching Systems; Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator (MBTI) and DiSC behavioural profiling system.
