Thomas Fumarelli, Senior Consultant
As a Senior Consultant at ALI, Tom brings 30 years of experience as a global CFO, COO and President. During his career as an operating executive, Tom was President of Holly Hunt Enterprises, COO of Yakima Products Inc. and Senior Vice President at CHANEL where he was responsible to coordinate finance and operations in more than 25 countries.
Tom has a proven track record of leading high performing teams in public, private and family owned businesses. His success is based on his ability to motivate others to achieve challenging goals while honoring the unique differences and contributions of each individual.
At the C-level, in addition to his functional responsibilities, Tom provided internal leadership coaching and development to country managers and functional leaders in the US, Europe, and Asia. Prior to this he learned his craft at Kidder Peabody, Chase Manhattan Bank, Exxon, and Price Waterhouse in various global roles.
Tom has applied ALI’s approaches with executives in a variety of industries and countries including retail, luxury goods, health care and technology. He has also coached executive MBA students at Wharton West, and helps to deliver the ALI program at Wharton for the High Potential and Advanced Management programs. As give-back, Tom provides coaching services at Year-Up, a national organization which provides employment opportunities to young urban adults.
Tom holds an MBA from The Wharton School, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He has a BS degree from Manhattan College and is a CPA. Tom’s coaching certification is through The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, and he is also certified by the International Coach Federation. He is a member of Professional Coaches Mentors and Advisors.
Tom is an accomplished pianist, is proficient in French and has traveled extensively throughout the world. He maintains residence in San Francisco and New York City.
