Hank Kinzie, Senior Consultant

Based in Chicago, Illinois, Hank Kinzie is an executive coach, organizational consultant, attorney and certified mediator.   A former US Naval officer, he has also served as a lobbyist in legislative and regulatory settings as well as a mediator helping organizations and individuals resolve conflict.  Prior to entering military service, he worked as an actuary in the casualty insurance field. He formerly taught at Chicago’s Loyola University School of Law and currently facilitates Advance Management Leadership programs at Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School. 

Over his long career, his clients have included multinationals such as ExxonMobil, Caterpillar Inc., General Motors Corporation, Kao Brands and State Street Bank as well as Unilever Corporation.   He has also worked with State Farm Insurance, Allstate Insurance, Takeda/Millennium Pharmaceuticals, numerous asset-management firms and domestic utility corporations, as well as the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers football organizations. 

He is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and the International Coach Federation.  In addition to his law degree, he also holds a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary and participated in the reorganization of the seminary as it merged with the University of Chicago.  He helped organize the first Synthesis Dialogues hosted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama held in Dharamshala, India.

He resides in Evanston, Illinois, with his wife and has four grown daughters and four grandsons. In his spare time, he enjoys hosting family and friends at his farm near Madison, Wisconsin.

He believes that leaders are made, not born, and that the mantle of leaderships carries not only responsibility but also has the rich potential for significant impact on individuals, the organizations they work in, and the world.
