Carol Kauffman, PhD PCC, Senior Consultant

Carol is an executive coach with over thirty years experience helping leaders raise the bar on their performance and managing their success.  She has worked with multi-national organizations and delivered training programs throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. 

For the past twenty-five years she has taught at Harvard Medical School as an Assistant Professor and where she is also the Founding Director of the Institute of Coaching.  In 2009 she received a two million dollar award to create the Institute and its Centers of Education, Research, Leadership, Healthcare and Positive Psychology.  Dr. Kauffman has launched and is the Chair of the annual Harvard Coaching Conference and the International Coaching Research Forum.

In the UK, Carol is a Founder of CoachWorks Partners, an international executive performance and leadership company.  She is also Chief Supervisor for Meyler Campbell Ltd a business coaching program based in London.

Dr. Kauffman has published extensively in many venues, writing articles for professional and academic publications.  She directed and authored Harvard Business Review’s first research project on executive coaching and was a regular columnist for Financial Planning magazine. In addition to many journal articles and chapters she is Editor in Chief, Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice.

Carol is featured regularly in the media including New York Times, Forbes, LA Times, New York Magazine and interviewed for local and national television. She has coached live on television, radio and as for a documentary film.

Of all her professional activities Carol gets the most satisfaction from coaching and training people who are facing challenges and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
